Bloody amazing when you read or hear some people commenting on the drought and farmers seeking assistance.

A few days ago in the ABC there was a woman (I think she could have been a journalist), saying that if she loses her job no one will help her so why should farmers get help.
Well, it appears that she intentionally forget to mention that, if she loses her job, she can then turn around and go to Centerlink and put her name down to claim unemployment benefits while the farmer can’t do that. At time one has to wonder and shake his/her head in disbelief when he/she ears comments like that.
And that comment was supported by another journalist a few days later on national television as well when he said “As soon as the drought comes, the farmer quickly put his hand out and say “Give Me Money”, when they should have prepared themselves for a drought.
That would have the biggest lot of rot and made up comments that I have ever heard. I don’t know of any farmer willing, nor being capable of, of doing such a thing of putting his hand out and say “Give Me Money” as, most of them, if not all of them, are too proud to do it.
As for been prepared for a drought, well, how long is a piece of string?? How can you prepare yourself for the unknown? Obviously the imagination of some of these people can run rife.
What gets to me the most though, is that they have the gallbladder to say it openly in national television when they know full well that someone will only laugh at the amount of ignorance they are displaying.
But, as they say, it takes all kinds of people to make the world go around, and that of course includes those few ignorant journalists which possibly never set foot outside the city boundaries, nor to their little own personal world either. I wonder.!!!!
