Members of the eIMEx organising committee will be on hand at the Gunnedah Shire Council stand throughout AgQuip to promote the event and look to secure more exhibitors for the expo.
Organising committee member Rob Hooke said the inaugural expo was shaping up to be very memorable.
“At this stage we have 40 exhibitors locked in,” Mr Hooke said.
“There is 38 indoor and 100 outdoor sites available and to have 40 locked in at this stage is very exciting.
“We of course would like to have as many of those spots filled as possible so hopefully we can encourage a few more to come on board during AgQuip.”
Mr Hooke said the inaugural event had also secured a naming sponsor.
“We are very fortunate and pleased to announce that Whitehaven Coal have come on board as a naming sponsor,” he said.
“It was crucial for us to not only find a naming sponsor but to find one within one of the industries we are exhibiting.
“Having Whitehaven Coal come on board means that others within the industry will see the support and confidence Whitehaven Coal has in the event and will in turn come on board themselves.”

Whithaven Coal’s chief operating officer Jamie Frankcombe said the organisation was pleased to support the event.
“Mining is a huge contributor to the North West NSW economy and many livelihoods depend on it,” Mr Fankcombe said.
“Whitehaven Coal is proud to be the principal sponsor of the first ever energy and mining expo in Gunnedah, we are looking forward to showcasing what a significant part of the local community Whitehaven has become.”
Mr Hooke said anyone looking for information about eIMEx should visit Gunnedah Shire Council’s stand at AgQuip.
“So many key events like the official breakfast, women in mining seminar and innovation awards have been locked in,” he said.
“It’s really shaping up to be a great event and we would like to pass on that message to as many people as we can during AgQuip.”
