Parents were asked to give the children some money to donate to the Buy a Bale initiative, following a story book and lesson last week about what drought means, and how many farmers and their animals are struggling through the drought.

“The children had a lovely day riding stick horses, cooking scrambled eggs and listening to stories about farmers,” she said.
“So far we have raised $138.55 with more still coming in for Buy a Bale.”
