They, their families and their teachers took part in a special assembly, during which Education Week awards were handed out.
And another highlight of the day was their Book Week parade, for which the kids and even some of the adults dressed up as their favourite character.

Many different figures from a range of text types were to be seen at the event last Friday.
Principal James Steele said the students had been preparing for weeks.
“The students have been reading non-stop and raiding the library for their favourite books to find pictures of their favourite characters, and reading descriptions of their favourite characters to get their costume spot-on,” Mr Steele said.
“Some of the students chose characters from books we’ve read in class, which is really encouraging ...
“There was a huge turnout of families on the day; it was fantastic.”
