EMERGENCY helicopter crews rushed to an Armidale property, following reports of a man being injured after his vehicle rolled down a slope.

The 76-year-old man sustained shoulder and head injuries after his vehicle rolled six hundred meters down a steep hill at the north-west Armidale property.

A Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokesman said it is believed the incident happened at about 12pm on Wednesday (August 9).
“The vehicle has rolled end-to-end about six hundred metres down a steep hill, and it is believed the man jumped from the vehicle,” the spokesman said.
The man reportedly jumped from the vehicle at about 40 kilometres per hour.
The emergency crews stablised the man at the scene before he was transported to Tamworth Base Hospital in a serious condition.
The spokesman confirmed the man is currently receiving treatment.
