The teachers, SRC and sports council put their collective heads together to raise more than $1700 for Variety with a group head-shaving on Thursday morning.
Year 12 student Amy Zhou lopped-off 36cm of her flowing locks for the cause, while a teacher and three other students got very tidy buzz-cuts for the cause.

The school set a humble goal of $1000 for the charity-chop, but some cakes and slices whipped up by the students sweetened the deal and lifted the tally to $1762.45.
Donations of hair, like Amy’s three-foot contribution, are made into specialised wigs for those who have lost their hair due to a medical condition such as alopecia.
Variety raises funds through the sale of the hair which is then used to provide equipment and services to children in need.
Oxley teacher Heath Pett said the school had a good record of digging deep for charity.
“Because it’s good practice for a young person to learn about giving for nothing in return,” he said.
“That’s what it’s all about.”
He said the school tried to assist with as many charity events as it could to try and keep the kids busy with work in the community, including a strong Oxley High showing at this year’s Relay for Life Cancer Council fundraiser.
“It was also good to see that different groups from the school could come together and do quite well,” Mr Pett said.
