Santos invites AgQuip visitors to visit its team at site H12 to find out more about why natural gas is a fuel for the future.
Narrabri could supply enough natural gas to meet up to half of NSW’s needs.
It could also help keep power prices down.
The Narrabri Gas Project would also bring many benefits for the community.
It would create up to 1300 jobs during construction and 200 ongoing positions, as well as more opportunities for local businesses.
The availability of affordable, reliable natural gas could also encourage new industries to set up in northwest NSW.
This would allow young people to stay in the region and embark on challenging and fulfilling careers.
A Gas Community Benefit Fund totalling up to $120 million would support local community programs.
Santos has already invested more than $1 million in local community initiatives, sporting teams and events in northwest NSW.

Over the past few months, Santos has taken another important step in the comprehensive, independent assessment process for the Narrabri Gas Project.
Santos chief executive officer Kevin Gallagher said the project was now being assessed by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment before a decision by the Independent Planning Commission.
“It’s really important that the assessment process is robust and independent so that the community can have confidence that the Narrabri Gas Project, if approved, will be developed safely and sustainably,” Mr Gallagher said.
At a time when Australia needs more natural gas to meet demand and keep energy prices down, the Narrabri Gas Project would deliver critical supplies to the NSW domestic market.
It would support more than one million homes, 33,000 businesses and 300,000 jobs that rely on natural gas.
