Freddie was the only local artist to take part in the singer-songwriters course, and learn from established mentors like Travis Collins.
“I had the opportunity to live and breathe the thing I love most, which is music,” Freddie said.
“Country music references things that I see and hear about everyday, I walk down Peel Street and see guys dressed as cowboys.

“I would say that the CMAA Academy was without question the best week of my life.”

The highly-selective academy teaches its students vocal training, working with a band, writing and understanding chord charts and stage craft.
“There were so many talented and interesting people that mentored us over the week,” Freddie said.
“I’m ambitious and am prepared to work hard to make a name for myself in the music industry.
“I think entering StarMaker when I’m old enough would be an incredible experience.”
