The Tamworth Men of League branch was struck by the plight of Chloe and her family and pulled together a few $500 vouchers for food and fuel.
The group has since put Chloe’s story to the Men of League head office who have donated $13,360 to the family.
“Now they’re involved there should be ongoing support for Chloe and her family,” president Kevin Robinson said.
“Our committee in Tamworth is always looking out to try and help people.”
Chloe’s cousin, Lisa Thomas, said there has been no shortage of sympathy for the youngster, who recently had a brush with super-stardom.
Chloe officially became the Pink Wiggle when legendary children’s group The Wiggles visited her at Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle.
Ms Thomas said it was the first time the group had visited the facility.
She said The Wiggles have played a therapeutic role in Chloe’s treatment.
“The Wiggles have always been a go-to for Chloe’s pain,” Ms Thomas said.
“Throughout her treatment, and there’s been a lot of treatment and a lot of pain, she would actually watch The Wiggles or read their books and for her, that’s her go-to comfort throughout this process.”
She said the two-year-old was going “quite well” with her treatment although she had transitioned to immunotherapy and still had a 20 per cent chance of survival.
“Her treatment now actually encourages her immune system to fight the cancer,” she said.
“It’s the treatment that’s used on adults with melanoma and it has been proven quite successful, so she’s not having the reactions that she was to chemo.”
With all sorts of support flowing-in, including more than $20,000 through GoFundMe, Ms Thomas said the family was humbled.
“To be honest, we’re overwhelmed with the amount of support that we have from the community, in particular, some of the businesses and Men of League have been instrumental,” she said.
“Particularly in a challenging time with the drought and with a lot of people hurting, we’re absolutely so thankful that people have been supporting her.”
