The second-placed dogs will travel to Tamworth No.1 Oval to take on the Tamworth Kangaroos in round 14 of AFL North West, and George said he hoped his side would “step things up” for the game.
“I guess there won’t be too many changes to the top three on the ladder going into finals,” he said.
“So I think we need to use the remaining games to start formulating a game plan that will get us finals ready.”
George said he was looking for a more complete game from his side after the Bulldogs were outscored by the Tamworth Swans in the second half of their last match.
“It was a bit disappointing not to carry on what was a really good first half,” he said.
“We can do it, we have shown it in other games this year, so I’m confident we can do it.”

The first-year coach said the side would have a lot going for it going into the game.
“Our younger guys have returned from representative duties which will have given them valuable experience,” he said.
“As well as that, we will also welcome back some experienced heads in Mark Barrow and probably Scott Hardy, which should help.”
George said the 4pm start time would not change the side’s preparation.
“If anything, it might be nice for our guys who have never played a game under lights to have a chance to try something different,” he said.
