Having ridden at the Balcary Park Complex so often, the 22-year-old knows all the intricacies of the track which gives him a subtle edge against visitors.
But more than that, Dall loves the chance to compete in the sport he’s passionate about in front of his loved ones.
“It’s good to be riding at a home event. All your family and friends get to come out and support you,” Dall said.
“You don’t get that when you travel 12 hours away to ride. So, yeah, it’s good for that side of things too.”
Not only will Dall get to ride in front of a home crowd this weekend but he’ll also do it as he chases a NSW title.
The NSW Dirt Track Titles will be hosted by the Gunnedah Motorcycle Club at Balcary Park Complex on July 7-8.
Dall – who comes from a long line of motorcycle riders – will compete in three classes – pro-450, pro-open and MX-open.
He has form on the board having finished second in the pro-450 at the National Dirt Track Titles in Mildura last year.
As far as the NSW titles go, Dall said he has a “good chance”.
“It’d be awesome to come away with the number one,” Dall said.
“I have a good chance but it all comes down to the day. There’s 12 of us in the final and anyone of you can win it.
“Some have good days, some have a bad day. If I ride consistent and everything goes to plan, I can come away with something.”
Gunnedah MCC’s Troy Whittaker expected a strong field of riders to compete.
Along with Dall, Whittaker said Marty McNamara and Fletcher Tydd were a couple riders to keep an eye on.
He also said Thomas Donnelly and Jake Whittaker had been riding well of late and would put in a good shout on the weekend.
Darryl Woodhead and Sean Fuller will also compete in the 1100cc sidecar division and will be looking to take out a podium spot.
Racing starts at 10am on both days with a canteen operating with hot food and drinks available.
Gunnedah MCC thanked all their major sponsors – which includes Ultra Fleet, Aztech, N&C Donnelly Contracting, Mannion Drilling, Many Fabrication and Engineering, Pirtek, GBP Cranes, Hopefuel and Goodwin Kenny – for their continued support.
Ultra Lubricants also sponsor Dall which has been a great help to the 22-year-old.
