GUNNEDAH police are calling for the public’s help after a car was stolen from an Edward Street home near Rodney Street on Sunday and was later found burned out.

Police believe the white Hyundai Santa Fe was taken between midnight and 10.30am on Sunday and was discovered burned out on Carson Road in Kelvin later that day.
The theft follows other recent incidents where cars have been taken from homes and properties around Gunnedah.

A Gunnedah police spokesperson told The Namoi Valley Independent investigations are continuing.
“We urge anyone with information about this incident to contact us or Crime Stoppers,” the spokesperson said.
“Gunnedah Police would also like to remind members of the community to take all reasonable steps to ensure their vehicles are secured and any valuables inside are out of sight or taken inside your residence.”
