Police believe the two men are being treated after ingesting an unknown substance which was in a black, clip-seal bag labelled ‘Australia’s No. 1’. Both men attended an exhibition at Darling Harbour.
Bankstown Police Area Command Duty Officer, Chief Inspector Brad Thorne issued a warning to the community about the risks of taking illicit substances - you don’t know what you are putting into your body and the effects it may have.
“There is a reason why drugs are illegal – they are very dangerous and can be harmful and in some cases, end in death,” Chief Inspector Thorne said.
“You need to ask yourself; is it really worth gambling with your life?”.
Anyone with information about the source of the substance is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
