“I would like to personally thank Bede for his efforts and time that he has devoted to the Nationals not only in his time as chair but his general contribution to members,” Mr Anderson said.
“He is the voice of reason, cool and calm under pressure, a clear thinker and a great supporter of all members of the Nationals both at state and national level.”
He said Mr Burke has been instrumental in guiding the party through a number of significant but challenging events, including the 2015 election.
“I would like to personally thank Bede for his efforts and time that he has devoted to the Nationals not only in his time as Chair but his general contribution to members.
“I know that Bede and his family run a very successful farming enterprise and he would not be able to give the time to The Nationals without the support of his close-knit family.
“I thank and acknowledge his wife Narelle and family for their rock solid support.
“There is plenty of work to be done and I am looking forwarding to continuing to work closely with him as we push hard to deliver the very best, not only for the Tamworth electorate but for regional NSW.”
