The group, chosen for their excellent school attendance, visited Quirindi TAFE and Tamworth last Friday.
The TAFE experience gave students the opportunity to experience the virtual reality headset “to see what lies beneath the deep blue sea”.

“All seven of the students showed leadership and sportsmanship in supporting each other through the day, it proved a positive experience,” said operations officer, Quirindi Clontarf Academy, Aaron Sampson.

After Quirindi TAFE, the group made their way to Tamworth, where the students were eager to burn off some energy at Jump Up.
“Here the boys had the opportunity to utilise their physical skills,” Mr Sampson said.
The third and final location was a journey to Boundary Rock, situated in the Daruka/Moonbi hills on the outskirts of Tamworth.
“The boys were advised on arrival to respect the land once they walked onto the sacred area, which they all did so very well,” Mr Sampson said.
“Some of the boys got to see in-person Aboriginal rock art for the first time and were fascinated by how it still exists onsite to this day.
“What a great day it was.”
