The Socceroos versus France game will be broadcast live on the big screen this Saturday.
Northern Inland Football general manager Julia Farina said it will be like the Federation Square of Tamworth.
“We have 2,200 players registered in the Tamworth competition alone, we’re expecting a few hundred people to come down and watch,” she said.

“Football is a big part of the Tamworth community, a big part of the region – I love community events and getting everyone out together so I think the atmosphere will be fantastic.”
The event is an opportunity for football fans to catch World Cup action live on a big screen, along with activities and entertainment.
Ms Farina said the camaraderie the clubs have built in Tamworth and the region is fantastic, and she’s expecting a lot of support from local clubs.
“You just have to look at the amount of children and adults playing on a Saturday morning and to be part of that is just amazing,” she said.
Fans are encouraged to bring seats and blankets, with food and coffee on offer at the event.
Entertainment kicks off from 4pm at Fitzroy Plaza, with the game starting at 8pm on Saturday, and it’s free to attend.
