Evenly matched skill wise, both sides fought for possession of the ball for most of the first-round clash hosted by Holy Trinity.
Players tried preserving energy for the long match, as it was a very back and forth game, until Duval managed to score.
Heading into half time the score was 1-0 to the Armidale team, both teams talked strategy with their coaches.

Heading into the second half Duval scored again, pushing the score to 2-0. However, Holy Trinity were quick to fight back and were rewarded with a penalty right in front of Duval’s goal.
The local side didn’t waste the penalty, and were able to put a point on the score board, leaving the score 2-1.
Unfortunately for Holy Trinity, Duval’s fitness shone through later into the match, enabling them to score a further three goals.
Duval has advanced to round four, where they will play either Oxley or McCarthy Catholic.
