The final day of the Netball NSW State Championships in Gosford will have a local flavour for Tamworth in open division two.
After three wins and a draw from 12 matches after the first two days of the carnival, Tamworth will kick off the third and final day against local rivals Narrabri.
They’ll go on to play Gunnedah before finishing off the carnival with a match against Armidale. In total, the Tamworth outfit will play six games on the final day.
Tamworth manager Kaye Sweeney said the side hoped to win all three of those “local” matches to claim bragging rights.
“A lot of the girls know each other from years playing against one another,” Sweeney said.
“It should be good. We have a good chance of winning a few.”
