With the big fundraising night for Cancer Council only three weeks away, all the stars and their partners got together on Sunday for a dress rehearsal.
Tamworth Cancer Council’s Kate Dubious said just under 200 tickets have been sold and encouraged people to get in quick for the charity ball on June 23.
“We’ve got capacity for 300 at Town Hall and we really hope to sell that out this year,” she said.
“It’s a fantastic night, great food, great fun and a lot of laughs. It’s really nice when you see someone you know up on the stage.
“For me, one of the best parts of the night is the intro dance at the very beginning. As each star is introduced, you can hear around the room where their pockets of supporters are, which creates the atmosphere from the beginning of the night.”

Tamworth City Dance Academy owner Kellie Singh said so far everything was going smoothly – other than The Leader’s Jamieson Murphy turning up to his dance lesson with a broken wrist.
“They’re going really well, we’re really proud of the efforts that they’ve put in,” Ms Singh said.
“It’s been a lot of time and energy. A lot of them aren’t natural dancers, or haven’t danced before, so for them to have stepped up and do this is pretty amazing. They’re giving it their all, so we can’t ask for more than that.
“I’m always super proud of Tamworth for doing this for such a really good cause that’s close to our hearts – everyone has got someone that’s affected.”
