Up 17-13 at half-time, the Rams were clinging to a two point lead for probably the last 20-25 minutes outside centre Tom Mellor said.
Fortunately they had the ball for a lot of that time, although they weren’t really able to do anything with it.
“We were attacking in their 22 for it seemed like the last 10-15 minutes but we couldn’t get more than a few phases together,” Mellor said.
That was a bit the story of the game, with the Rams’ performance riddled by dropped balls.
“We got a bit flustered and over excited at times,” Mellor said.
Rather than try and control the game like they did against Walcha last week, they were forcing passes they didn’t need to.
“We’ve got a lot to build on. Most of the boys in the team were pretty frustrated,” Mellor said.

Still a win is a win and it keeps the Rams in third.
Mellor was one of the Rams’ three tryscorers with winger Jeremy York pursing a first half double.
The forwards dominated the points with breakaway Sean Latham picking up the three, prop Will Robinson the two and players’ player and second rower Tom Clear the one.
Down in Scone, it was dejavu for the Bulls, as for the second week in a row they almost squandered a big half-time lead.
Winger Josh Walker took his season try tally to six with a double as they just held on after leading 17-5 at the break.
