National Volunteer week was acknowledged in the Tamworth Region with awards and recruitment drives. Local volunteers have put a call out to younger generations encouraging them to donate their time.The Volunteers at the Marsupial Park were acknowledged for the second year running and Eric Scott took home the big prize of Volunteer of the year.
Speaking of volunteers, many generous people threw open their doors for Biggest Morning Teas this week raising money for the Cancer Council. The Morning Tea at Loomberah was a delicious event.
