Barely a day goes by when we at the Leader and our sister papers don’t hear of an event being held to raise money for a needy person or cause.
From enjoying a cuppa and homemade treat with friends at a Biggest Morning Tea, to touring the state in bush bash gathering donations along the way, country people never fail to impress with their desire to help others with these events.
And that’s not even touching on the many, many wonderful volunteers who may not host a fundraiser but just quietly go about their activities week in, week out.
Here’s just a smattering of what we covered this week – to the event organisers and donors, we say congratulations and thank you.
