LPSC mayor Andrew Hope said it was pleasing to help such a worthy cause.
“The Cancer Council are Australia’s leading cancer charity, working with and for the community across all cancers, for everyone affected by or concerned about cancer,” Cr Hope said.
“All of the donations made across the country go towards helping your local Cancer Council achieve its mission of a cancer free future.
“I’d like to congratulate, not only Brooke Stevenson for organising this event at council, but also all the organisations, workplaces and individuals around the shire who have got behind this event to raise vital money for people affected by cancer.”
