A hearty meal in a cosy pub is hard to beat in winter.
Check out these local favourites:
The Welder’s Dog Craft Beer Bar
The Welder's Dog Craft Beer Bar originated in Armidale in 2014, with their second bar opening in Tamworth in 2017.
You’ll love the BYO food option which allows you to bring any food item. May we suggest pizza goes down great with a fresh cold beer!
There is also a ‘build your own platter’ fridge where you can select from fresh, locally sourced meats, cheeses and antipasto options.
The business believes in supporting independent brewers and local wineries and you'll find an ever changing list of Australian producers on tap and in the fridge.
The two bars are located at 120 Marsh Street, Armidale and 37 Dowe Street, Tamworth.
Graze
Enjoy Colly Creek award winning steaks at Graze Restaurant and Bistro at Willow Tree Inn. The inn is located on the New England Highway exactly half way between Scone and Tamworth.
All the beef and lamb used is pasture fed and grain finished and comes directly from Colly Creek Pastoral Company located just down the road at Willow Tree.
Only the best steers are selected for the in-house dry aging room, which has a viewing window so you can see this specialised process.
