Saturday June 9 is both World Knit in Public Day, and Red Nose Day, and Spotlight Tamworth has managed to perfectly combine the two.
Spotlight are calling on both “seasoned knitters and crocheters” as well as amateurs and anyone interested to join them from 10am to publically knit bunny rugs, suits, cardigans and other baby goodies for the Treasured Baby Foundation.

Store manager Samara Butler said Spotlight will supply the yarn if people provide the skills, energy and smiles, with those less skilled able to take the items and patterns home to finish and return at a later date.
“We have got patterns for about five or six different options – something for everyone,” Ms Butler said.
“There is no need to register and we will be knitting from 10am until 3pm – people can just come in for an hour or the full day – it should be a lot of fun for a great cause.”
