Mr Anderson said, “Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex will visit Australia to attend the Invictus Games in Sydney in late October.
“Let’s get our Queen of Country Music show Prince Harry and his fabulous bride a right royal affair in the North West.
“Tamworth and its surrounding regions have so much to offer – we have Australia’s Country Music Capital and the National Koala Capital just 80 kilometres apart.

“Prince Harry and his Duchess I’m sure would love to hug one of our national icons and there’s no better place to do than Gunnedah.
“We can also demonstrate to Prince Harry how Tamworth could be a potential Invictus Games host in years to come as we develop the Northern Inland Centre of Sporting Excellence and its synthetic athletics track.
“Tamworth has the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre and the nearby Tamworth Sports Dome, which could both be ideal venues for the indoor rowing, archery powerlifting, sitting volleyball, wheelchair rugby and basketball.

“We have the transport links with road, rail and air. Our accommodation ranges from 5 star to glamour camping under the stars, ideal to keep the embers smouldering for a right royal love affair with our region.
“And of course there’s the Royal Hotel in Manilla, who would love to pour them icy refreshments and serve the visitors a meal.
“We have such rich resources and our opportunities are only limited by our ambition.
“So let’s roll out the red carpet, put our hands up, give our best royal wave; to say we’re here at their service.
“I’m sure the Prince and his Duchess would love it,” Mr Anderson concluded.
