Tamworth FC’s top of the table clash against Oxley Vale Attunga had a bit of everything on Saturday at Riverside. There was plenty of goals as Tamworth FC won 4-1, there was also plenty of cards and a field intruder of the canine variety even made a guest appearance in the second half.

Gunnedah full forward Mitchell Swain has described the competition as being in a transitional period infused with developing young talent. He commented after the competition-leading Bulldogs won their fifth straight match, in a 169-point mauling of the Tamworth Kangaroos at Wolseley Oval on Saturday.
RUGBY UNION (Mens)
Barbarians have taken the spoils in a low-scoring affair against Tamworth to score their first win of the New England Rugby Union season on Saturday. Both teams were searching for their first win heading into the round six clash as a try to Keith Ellis and the boot of Edward Pitt was enough to see Barbarians win 19-8 over Tamworth who were sporting special green jerseys to support the local mental health headspace branch.
RUGBY LEAGUE
Following the undefeated Roosters’ 66-18 home win over Dungowan on Saturday, Kyle “Yum Yum” Cochrane, showed he is hungry for more premierships. Back in Group 4 after an unhappy season with the Scone Thoroughbreds in Group 21, the former West Lions premiership player wants more trophies before retiring, and he believes that Kootingal-Moonbi have the firepower to make this year's grand final.
