Sometime between 8am on Saturday, May 19, and 7pm on Monday, May 21, a home on Hinds Street was broken into while the occupant was away.
Police said a Sportco Martini rifle and a Gamo Hunter air rifle – both .22 calibre – were stolen from an approved firearm safe located inside the property.
The theft was reported to officers at Oxley Police District and an investigation has commenced.
It’s understood the house has been examined by specialist officers for clues and now police are appealing for public help from anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in the area.
