Over 30 big hearted motorcycle enthusiasts delivered some winter warmies to the local St Vincents de Paul on Sunday, taking the scenic route to a long lunch along the way.

Every year the The New England Bikers Tamworth SMC host the ‘blanket run’, where they ride a local loop while collecting preloved winter clothing and blankets to “help those less fortunate.”
This year the crew, led by president Ceejay Canham went via Appleby Lane and the Moonbi Gap to Kootingal, before heading to lunch at the Calala Inn via Dungowan.

“We got a lot of blankets and a lot of sleeping bags for Vinnies which is great,” Mr Canham said.
“We also raised about $400 cash from the registration fee and raffles, as well as getting six new members for the club, which is also great.”
The club’s next endeavour will be the second annual Suicide Prevention Run in November.
