A 24-year-old man is charged with being a learner unaccompanied, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and police pursuit Skye’s Law after an incident about 2.30am on Monday.
Officers claim they tried to stop a maroon Magna in Warral Road when it allegedly took off.
The man then allegedly abandoned the car and was found hiding on the roof of a Cole Road house shortly after.
Officers seized several goods from the car and the man will front court in June.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man has been charged after he was allegedly clocked at 160km per hour during a chase in Tamworth on Sunday.
The teen is accused of evading officers on the New England Highway south of Tamworth, shortly before 3pm.
Police will allege in court he was behind the wheel of a dual-cab ute that was initially nabbed at 140km per hour before the chase through Spains Lane, Werris Creek Road and Warral Road.
The chase was abandoned for safety issues, police said, before the man and a passenger were arrested in a Coledale house.
He is charged with police pursuit, driving at more than 45km over the speed limit and driving in a speed or manner dangerous.
He will front court in June.
