Did we SNAP you on May 11 or 12?

Mothers and women were the focus of this weekend in Tamworth and surrounding villages.

Mother’s Day was celebrated around the town on Sunday with everyone happy to acknowledge the special motherly figure in their lives.

The Kable Ave park was the place to be  as mums, nans, dads and bubs rugged-up and braved the chilly temperature to treat the leading ladies in their lives on Mother’s Day.

Tamworth families took their mothers out in droves on Sunday where the Tamworth Regional Playground was a hive of activity and deserved relaxation for the mums.

Other Tamworthians might have been resting their legs as more than 100 locals pounded the pavement looking pretty in pink raising money for breast cancer.

The Tamworth Mother’s Day Classic was run and done in the early hours of Sunday with a crisp autumn  temperature accompanying the dedicated locals who vowed to “walk all over breast cancer”.
