Country music dancers kicked up their heels for Mayworth, confirming Tamworth is indeed the centre of the bootscootin’ universe. The biggest line-dancing festival in the Southern Hemisphere got straight into full swing on Friday with more than 350 entrants hailing from all over Australia.

Down the road, dogs were the centre of attention at the annual Great Nundle Dog Race. The Race attracted the serious and the not-so-serious doggy competitors from around the region for one of the biggest events of the year.
Women were sharing the DigniTEA at Hopscotch Restaurant and Bar on Sunday, raising money for women’s charity Share The Dignity. Share the Dignity aims to help those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and poverty.
