Anthems were sung by Welsh born Australian Siobhan Owen. A pipe from northern Spain wafted its haunting melody over the chill air of the Northern Tablelands. It is a typical instrument of Galicia and Asturias, two of the regions in focus at this year’s festival.
The festival was to continue with a parade of Australian pipe bands.
