Returned servicemen and women lead the march closely followed by members of the town’s Boggabri Public School and Sacred Heart Schools.
The march culminated in a service where locals paid their respects by laying wreaths in front of the town’s cenotaph.
Boggabri RSL president Steve Eather said the day was “tremendous”.
“The day kicked off with more than 200 people turning out for the dawn service in Baan Baa,” Mr Eather said.
“We have only recently just installed a new memorial out there so it was brilliant to see slightly more people than unusual attend the dawn service.”
Among the highlights of the dawn service was the readings given by a local Boggabri minister.
“It really was a beautiful service,” Mr Eather said.
“The readings were lovely and overall the Baan Baa dawn service was a fantastic start to a great day.”

The RSL president said 15 servicemen took part in the march.
“Along with kids from our local schools and representatives from Gunnedah High School and St Mary’s College we had 15 servicemen involved in the march which was fantastic,” Mr Eather said.
“It lead onto a great service with a lot of wreaths being laid by the various community groups such as our local emergency service crews and it was a very memorable day.
“Of course it was also nice to see a lot of people come back to the club following the service and I honestly think each year it just keeps getting better and better.”
The Boggabri RSL will now look forward to holding a dedication ceremony for the new Baan Baa war memorial.
