I am so fortunate to be connected to Foxtel who did a magnificent coverage of the match.Their filming and sound quality was of the same high standard that i watch from the top Sydney venues. The caretakers of the ground also deserve a big pat on the back for their 5 star presentation of the ground. The visiting commentators for the match were also in high praise of the ground and all facilities for the record 10,000 crowd.
Both teams were evenly matched and playing such a high standard leaving fans sitting on the edge of their seats especially in the dying moments of the game. The spot on overall presentation of the game by Tamworth won't be easy for other country nsw venues to match in the future.I have lived in Tamworth for the past 70 years and do not remember any other sporting event which was of this overall standard.
Thank you to the Northern Daily Leader for their front,2nd,and back page story on the game. They were obviously impressed like i was.
Looking forward to the next thrilling encounter at Tamworth's Scully Park.

St Mark's Kentucky 90th anniversary
Thanks for your interest in the St Mark’s Kentucky 90th Anniversary celebration.
The whole day went well. The day was beautiful, sunny and not too much wind, which was good as we had people outside the church under gazebos! Long distance travellers came from Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Holbrook as well as from Tamworth and the coast. Around 120 attended and it was a joy to watch the interaction after the service, and over lunch, as people caught up with each other and looked at the displays of photos and original documents. Many positive responses were received, which is great.

The royal arrival
The safe birth of a healthy baby is a cause for celebration everywhere. There are about 350,000 babies born worldwide and about 2000 in England each and every day although only one made the front page of most papers around the world and was a leading item on the news on April 23.
It is time to celebrate all people and to remember it is not who you were born that makes you worthwhile but what you make of your life and the opportunities you take up. The Royal family has done much with Prince Philip's 'Duke of Edinburgh' awards and Prince Harry's work with disabled soldiers with the Invictus games. It is time to value not just the individual but all births.

National service
Is it time for national service? Of course it’s time (we can all see what the Far East is doing). In fact I would say national service was long overdue.
Whether put off out of fear of offending the Far East or just a lack of insight or maybe even the ongoing fights and squabbles in federal parliament which never seem to end the truth is Australia simply isn’t ready for trouble.
We have a diminished state of alertness amongst our people. Additionally there are a number of prophecies floating around the churches about an incursion in the region. Jack Burrell’s vision from his 1974 WHAT WILL BECOME OF AUSTRALIA is a classic (excerpts on the net under the book tile). National service is a vital issue. The call from the “signs of the times” is that we mustn’t ignore the issue. Neither should we ignore the call to Christian revival. History shows that if we are on Gods side, He is on ours. We can study the subject of revivals if we wish.
