The Tamworth Historical Society hosted a free guided heritage walk through Carthage Street.
Carthage Street it one of the city’s oldest streets with locals learning all about the heritage homes as they strolled through the street on Sunday morning.
Rod Hobbs of the historical society said there were some “fantastic stories” behind the houses, many of which have beautiful 1870s to early 1900 architecture.
The walk was held as part of the Tamworth Heritage festival which saw many events take place in the city over the weekend including the Farmers Market relocating to King George Avenue V on Saturday.
