Amine Lihia, Nick Bowden, Isaac Wood and Scott Flanagan also found the back of the net in what was a dominant but somewhat frustrating performance with Companions lacking that finishing finesse in the first half.
“The first half we had most of the ball but couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net,” vice-president Wayne Clarke said.
They belted a few shots straight at the keeper and missed a penalty, a King strike subsequently all they had to show for their first half efforts.
“The quality of our shots in the first half wasn’t good enough. The second half was a lot better, we put our shots away,” he said.

The Scorpions’ cause wasn’t helped by having two players receive red-cards in the second half. One was a straight red and the other a second yellow card.
Clarke there was around 10-15 minutes to go when Souths went down to nine. Companions were well ahead by then though.
