Vinyl made something of a comeback in Tamworth on the weekend, at least for those who still knew what it is.

The Tamworth Hotel hosted a Record Fair, for a good cause, raising money for victims of the recent Victorian bushfires.
“I have got family and friends in the fire affected areas of Victoria, they have been devastated and can use all the help they can get,” organiser and publican Luke Prout told The Leader earlier.
Mr Prout was anticipating they’d have somewhere near 250 records for sale on the day, and people were also being encouraged to hire a table for the day where they could swap and sell their own vinyl treasures.
April 21 also just happens to be World Record Store Day.
It’s not the only fundraiser in the wake of the bushfires.
Recently the Tathra fire victims also received a boost after the State Government’s Container Deposit Scheme added their cause to the list of charities available to donate to, on the Reverse Vending Machines.
