Faulkner trained and drove his first treble after a 16-year involvement in the sport.
“I think the move has paid off,” said a confident Faulkner at the end of the night’s racing. “The horses seem happy and they have showed that tonight.”
Gottashopearly, Onedin Highlander and Cronin all provided the wins for Faulkner and considering that was his whole stable for the night’s racing, it was a 100% strike rate.
“It is the first time I have driven a treble – I’ve had plenty of doubles but to end the night with three wins, it has ended up alright”.

Tony Missen had a winner in South Australia on Monday and he didn’t even leave NSW. Missen has sent his pacer Rubbers Dilemma across to Danielle Hill in SA to train. After three race starts Rubbers Dilemma produced the win in the Maughan Thiem Ford Hyundai Pace – how appropriate was that?
Since her transition to SA racing, Rubbers Dilemma has had three starts for a second and a win at Globe Derby as well as a second at Victor Harbour.
Meanwhile Narrabri trainer Jarred Hetherington headed to the Maitland meeting on Monday with Limousine Livia gaining a win in the Peter Ryan Saddlery Pace with a mile rate of 1.59.8 for 2044 metres. Stablemate Million Dollar Mac had to be content with a second in the Garrards Horse & Hound Maiden Pace after finishing second to Ruth Shannon in the Billy Grima Memorial at Tamworth on the Friday night prior.
