The weekend starts at 8.30am on Saturday with the Walcha Farmers Market at McHattan Park, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast BBQ cooked by Rotary. There will be live music, fresh produce, espresso coffee, plants, pastries, honey, olives, baked goods, skin products and more! The kids will be able to get creative with Mother’s Day card decorating and colouring-in. So, bring the family down for a lovely morning in the park from 8.30am to 12.30pm at the Walcha Farmers Market.
From 11am to 11pm the inaugural Bobby Jack’s Festival will come to life at the Walcha Showground. “This is an exciting new original music and arts festival for all ages, with delicious food, dancing, music, workshops, bar, stalls and free entertainment for children” organising committee member Stef Cook said.
“Tickets are available online or at the gate and are very reasonable for an event with such a full line up of music and entertainment. Only $15 for students/concession, $20 for adults, $40 for a family and under 12’s are free.
“Onsite camping is available for Friday and/or Saturday night for an extra fee,” she said.
The main stage includes a terrific line up of live music as well as performances by The Dunghutti Dancers and Belly Dance Earth & Sky. The Get Out of Your Garage stage has a brilliant variety of emerging artists, so come along and enjoy the musical talent on offer at the Bobby Jack’s Festival.
