Held in Coffs Harbour, the Games served as final trials to pick the youth girls team for 2018.
Hamilton was first nominated for the squad in January by AFL development officer Sonia Martin.
Her squad of around 55 players participated in a number of training camps in Sydney and Canberra before heading to Coffs Harbour.
Playing one game each day, Hamilton said: “The academy was split into two teams – the Giants and the Swans. We had to verse each other and also Gold Coast Suns Academy and Brisbane Lions Academy.”

Hamilton’s favourite game over the three days was against the Giants.
She added: “The Queensland teams were hard.”
Usually positioned in the forward line, Hamilton played around the ground during the trials to give selectors a chance to see a well-rounded performance.
Hamilton converted to AFL from ladies league tag last season.
She only played half the season but said she enjoyed every minute.
“AFL is just different to every other sport. It’s fun and you get to tackle,” she said.
