Almost 140 people turned up to vote on a decision to sell the club and build a new clubhouse at the site of the North Tamworth Bowling Club.
The vote means The Servies Group will engage a real estate agent to sell the old Marius Street Club.
A condition of the sale is an agreement to lease the building off the new owner for three years until the new club is built.
Services Group CEO Kristian Brooks said he was pleased with the turn out on the night and the decision.

“There were 137 people who arrived, 131 voted for (the project) and there were six against,” He said.
“We are very happy with the outcome.”
Mr Brooks said the vote meant the members had faith in the direction the board was taking the Services Group.
“I can’t thank them enough,” he said.
“It now gives us our future direction and cements our place in the community and it cements our place as a club over the ensuing 20 years.
”This gives us a foot print in Tamworth and we want to make the members proud for giving us the opportunity to commence this new part in our history.”
Mr Brooks said when the club goes on the market, the design process will begin with hopes to purchase the site of the old Piper Street tennis courts as part of the expansion.
“If we can start doing some architectural planning on that site up there we can hopefully go to council soon.
“If we have the sale, we can start building, but the sale of the Servies is our first step.”
Mr Brooks said the group hoped there would be minimum disruption to members during the process.
The new club would include a larger club venue for members and guests, undercover parking facilities and bowling greens including the city’s first shaded synthetic green.
Also on the list will be eateries,a children’s playground and possibly a three-to-four star hotel to be built at a later stage of the project.
