“This is the 100 year anniversary of the Moree Boars,” Moree coach Scott Girard said.

Girard said the team had been preparing for weeks beforehand, with their hard work evident in their win during a trial match with the Bingara Bullets.
“There was definitely a lot of ball dropping during the game, a lot more than I would have liked,” he said. “I also saw that we had to work on our attack.”
With pre-season training wrapping up, Girard said it was time to focus on the season.
“It’s already working out to be a big year for the team. Let’s hope this good run lasts,” Girard said.
The home game will take off at Boughton Oval, with the A-grade game set to start at 2pm.
