Faces of Tamworth: state MP Kevin Anderson

HE can ride a horse, get air on a scooter and play guitar. 

Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson has worked as a journalist, is a member of the Tamworth Young Veterans, and has called the country music capital home for 25 years.

When and why did you get involved with politics?

I become involved in politics through community service. Getting involved in many different events and causes, and being keen to help people.


What did you do before politics?

Journalist and small business owner of “Centreboard Media” – marketing and events

What are your top three local issues you're passionate about?

Health, education and job creation.  

How long have you lived in Tamworth?

25 years

Why did you decide to make a life here?

I came here to work at Prime Television as a journalist  

What do you love most about Tamworth?

Sense of community, the music scene and the friendly people that make up this great city.
