Firefighters from the NSW Fire and Rescue Tamworth station showed just why they are one of the state’s most trusted professions with a special delivery.
Armed with bundles of Easter eggs, the firefighters took their big red truck on a different kind of mission on Wednesday.
There was a stop off at Tamworth’s Ronald McDonald House where families were delighted to be given chocolaty treats and activity bags ahead of Easter Sunday.
But the good will didn’t stop there either, with the firefighters dropping into the Tamworth Hospital Children’s ward to deliver more delicious delights for patients and staff.
There weren’t just smiles on the faces of the sick kids and their families with the friendly local firefighters leaving the hospital boasting big grins too after a job well done.
They’ve thanked Woolworths Eastpoint for donating the eggs.
