The NSW Farmers event will include managing and hiring employees, record-keeping and award updates.
NSW Farmers industrial relations manager Gracia Kusuma said being a good boss was just as important as the many other daily roles of a farmer.

“Being a good boss involves constructive communication with employees, maintaining records, knowledge of the relevant awards and their obligations and promotion of safe work practices,” Mrs Kusuma said.
“The world of workplace relations is ever changing and like all other bosses, farmers need to keep up to date with their obligations.
“Failure to do so could be costly.”
She said the session would cover the Pastoral and Horticulture Awards, and hiring and firing.
Holding Redlich lawyers will talk about succession planning, and Prime Super will speak about how to best manage superannuation commitments.
