THE Tamworth Show is about to reach its most historic year yet when it moves out to the Australian Equine and Livestock Centre for the first time.
While the show might not kick off until August 31, there’s plenty of work to do and the Tamworth Show Society’s management committee is calling for more members and volunteers to join in the action.
“It’s a significant event, it’s going to be the first time the show has run out here,” Committee member Malcolm Campbell said.

“We believe that the show can be one of the biggest shows north of Newcastle.
“Anyone who is wanting to look at becoming a member, we’d love to hear from them.”
Volunteers are needed to assist in the running of many of the show’s events, including stewards in the agricultural sector.
The committee has said it would work with volunteers around their own interests at the show and there is no age limit on who can volunteer.
