A YOUNG Tamworth woman has been recognised as part of Tamworth International Women’s Day celebrations.
With a 99-year history of educating and empowering young women, it was only fitting that one of Calrossy Anglican School’s own students was recognised for contributing to their community.
Year-12 student Tessa Parry was announced as the recipient of the Zonta International 2018 Young Women in Public Affairs Award for the Tamworth branch at a recent ceremony.
She was joined by five other women from a wide cross-section of the local community recognised for giving back and helping others.
The efforts of the Tamworth teen were further celebrated at an International Women’s Day afternoon tea at Calrossy on Thursday afternoon.
