A MAN has been refused bail charged with stabbing another man at a home in West Tamworth on Friday.
John Robert Smith was again denied release in Tamworth Local Court on Monday, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The 56-year-old will return to court in April.
Police said the alleged victim underwent surgery on Friday night and was recovering.
Police and paramedics were called to the house shortly before 3pm on Friday after reports a man had been stabbed.
Investigators say the pair were known to one another, and a weapon had been seized at the scene.
