There are three public meetings over the next three weeks for the Nundle and Hanging Rock communities to learn about a $600 million proposal for up to 98 220-metre-high wind turbines on a 20-kilometre section of the Great Dividing Range from Hanging Rock to Crawney, south of Nundle.
“No matter what your opinion is on wind farms at Hanging Rock and Nundle, now is the time to listen, research and talk,” a post on Nundle NSW’s Facebook page said.
The first meetings will be held on Monday March 5 at 6pm in the Nundle Memorial Hall, hosted by Nundle Business Tourism and Marketing Group Inc. No RSVP is needed.
The remaining meetings will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 6.30pm in the Nundle Memorial Hall, and Friday, March 23 at 6.30pm in the Hanging Rock Hall, hosted by Hanging Rock/Nundle Renewable Energy Park proponent Wind Energy Partners. RSVP Christine Willcox on 0439 381 218 or 02 6769 1430.
